Whats the best bread to use for panini?
I want the authentic, restaurant-style stuff... but the bread i use doesn't seem to work...

- cuban bread
- I would use a nice crusty bread like ciabata or any other artisan crusty loaf of bread you slice yourself
- Ciabatta Bread is the one I see in almost every recipe.
- Sliced
- no no and no again, at home the fail proof bread is Foccacia and you get to pick your flavor to boot.
- honey wheat, yummy
- There are several really good types on the market. Firm, artisan bread with crusts are recommended. I suggest going to your good local supermarket that has a deli, and ask them to show you what they typically use and some options. You might discover some real treasures. Don't use the soft stuff, whatever you do! Have fun!
- simply put, foccaccia
