- If you're worried about the calories you can just do portion control and eat the one that want the most. However, if your worried about gaining weight than you want to go with a bread that has a low glycemic index. The glycemic value of food determines how it will spike your insulin and trigger fat storage. The lower the the less, the more than the greater cause to store fat. Wheat bread, because it is diluted with other portions of teh wheat is better than white bread. Whole foods are better on this regard because processed or white breads are so easily digested that they are absorbed quickly and trigger more insulin which triggers fat storage in turn because it's easier to use for energy than fat stores. Also bagels are good because they have more eggs used and the high protein content again, dilutes the ability of it to absorb easily since it is harder to break down.
- wheat is the best
